Hit-and-Run Accident in Ontario Leaves Bicyclist Fatally Wounded
Ontario, CA (August 3rd, 2021) – Authorities are investigating a fatal accident involving a driver who fled the scene after striking a man who was riding his bicycle on the night of Monday, August 2nd in Ontario.
According to the Ontario Police Department, the accident happened on Monday night, around 11 p.m. in the area of Cucamonga Avenue and Mission Boulevard.
The San Bernardino County Coroner’s Office reports that the deceased victim perished at 11:14 p.m. The name of the victim is being withheld at this time pending official identification and notification of kin, states the Coroner’s Office.
Police indicate that the vehicle suspected of colliding with the victim is believed to have front-end damage. There is no further information readily available with regard to additional identifiers of the suspected vehicle.
