He represents clients in cases of institutional accountability and serious injury throughout the Inland Empire and Southern California, including Rancho Cucamonga, Fontana, San Bernardino, Riverside, Ontario, Upland, Rialto, and Victorville.
Mr. King has been recognized by Best Lawyers in America® in both 2025 and 2026 in two separate practice areas — Mass Tort Litigation / Class Actions – Plaintiffs and Personal Injury Litigation – Plaintiffs — a dual recognition uncommon among Inland Empire personal injury attorneys. He is licensed to practice in both California and Texas, admitted to the United States District Court for the Central District of California, and conducts client consultations in English and Spanish.
Mr. King is also a Certified Contract Advisor with the National Football League Players Association and previously served as a FIFA-certified football intermediary representing professional soccer players. Sexual Abuse, Foster Care, and Institutional Accountability Cases
Mr. King represents survivors of sexual abuse in foster care and county custody, victims of institutional misconduct, and individuals harmed by failures of public agencies and private institutions. These cases involve some of the most vulnerable plaintiffs in the civil justice system and require both legal sophistication and a survivor-centered approach to client representation.
His settlements in these matters include $962,000 for a sexual abuse survivor of foster care in San Bernardino County and $950,000 for a survivor of abuse in county custody in Los Angeles County.
Past results do not guarantee future outcomes. Each case is unique and must be evaluated on its own facts.
Civil Rights and Police Excessive Force Litigation
Mr. King handles civil rights matters under 42 U.S.C. section 1983 and California state civil rights statutes, with particular focus on cases involving police excessive force, unlawful detention, and constitutional violations by public officials. His settlements include a $200,000 recovery for a client subjected to police excessive force in San Bernardino County.
Insurance Bad Faith and ERISA Litigation
Mr. King has experience holding insurance companies accountable when they wrongfully deny medical coverage or fail to honor policy obligations. His work includes a successful reversal of a denied medical coverage claim under the Employee Retirement Income Security Act (ERISA) based on an alleged pre-existing condition, with a recovery exceeding $200,000 for the client.
Personal Injury Practice
Mr. King’s broader personal injury practice includes car and motor vehicle collisions, truck and commercial vehicle crashes, motorcycle and bicycle accidents, wrongful death, catastrophic injury and traumatic brain injury, premises liability, dangerous conditions of public property, birth injuries, construction accidents, and dog bites and animal attacks.
Background and Career
Mr. King is a native of Rancho Cucamonga. His father, the Honorable Jeffrey King, served as a Justice of the California Fourth District Court of Appeal for thirteen years following his service as a San Bernardino County Superior Court Judge. His mother, the Honorable Pamela Preston King, served as a San Bernardino County Superior Court Judge after a career that included work as Deputy District Attorney, civil litigator, and Deputy Public Defender. His brothers, Justin H. King and Jonathan L. King, are his law partners at the firm; all three have been recognized by Best Lawyers in America® in 2025 and 2026.
Mr. King earned his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Gettysburg College in 2003 and his Juris Doctor from the University of La Verne College of Law in 2008. During law school, he participated in the clinical law program through La Verne’s satellite office of the Disability Rights Legal Center and served as an Appellate Division intern with the Hinds County Public Defender’s Office in Mississippi, where he authored a Writ of Certiorari to the United States Supreme Court challenging Mississippi’s jury instruction scheme on Sixth and Fourteenth Amendment grounds. Following law school, he externed at the California Fourth District Court of Appeal.
Mr. King was admitted to the State Bar of Texas in 2011 and operated his own private practice in Texas from 2012 through 2015, handling civil and criminal matters with an emphasis on contract litigation. He joined Steinberg Sports & Entertainment in 2015 as a Certified NFLPA Contract Advisor and obtained his own NFLPA certification in December 2016, which remains active. He co-founded Soccer Reps, LLC in 2017, a FIFA-intermediary practice representing professional soccer players in contract negotiations and endorsement matters.
