Justin H. King, founder of The Law Offices of Justin H. King in Rancho Cucamonga, has been selected to receive the 2026 Jennifer Brooks Lawyer of the Year Award from the Western San Bernardino County Bar Association.

The Law Offices of Justin H. King is proud to announce that founder Justin H. King, a Rancho Cucamonga personal injury trial attorney, has been selected to receive the 2026 Jennifer Brooks Lawyer of the Year Award from the Western San Bernardino County Bar Association.

King will be honored at the association’s 2026-2027 Installation of Officers & Awards Ceremony on October 8, 2026, in Ontario, California.

For King, the recognition has particular meaning. His legal career has been closely tied to Rancho Cucamonga, San Bernardino County and the broader Inland Empire, both through his work representing injured individuals and families and through years of leadership and service within the local legal community.

He also previously led the organization now honoring him, serving as President of the Western San Bernardino County Bar Association during its 2018-2019 term.

What Is the Jennifer Brooks Lawyer of the Year Award?

The Jennifer Brooks Lawyer of the Year Award is presented annually by the Western San Bernardino County Bar Association to a local attorney who demonstrates what the association has described as the finest qualities of the legal profession.

WSBCBA has historically defined those qualities through the “Five Cs” of Candor, Compassion, Civility, Courage and Competence. The association has also identified long-term commitment to the community as part of the award’s purpose.

The award honors Jennifer L. Brooks, a San Bernardino County deputy district attorney who passed on March 20, 2005. She was remembered by the local bar for her integrity, professionalism and collegiality. Everyone from judges, court staff, prosecutors and defense attorneys alike valued her professional and friendly courtroom demeanor, and the award was established to honor her legacy.

The association’s published list of Jennifer Brooks Lawyer of the Year recipients includes civil trial lawyers, criminal attorneys, prosecutors, judges and other prominent members of the Inland Empire legal community.

Recognition From the Legal Community Justin King Has Served

In announcing King’s selection in the association’s September 2026 Bar Bulletin, outgoing WSBCBA President Dean McVay highlighted King’s advocacy for injured people and families, his work as a trial lawyer and his longstanding involvement in the local legal community:

Throughout his career, he has achieved remarkable results on behalf of his clients while earning the respect of judges, colleagues, and the broader legal community. Beyond his accomplishments in the courtroom, Justin has dedicated substantial time and effort to bar leadership and community service, including service on the boards and Presidency of both the San Bernardino County Bar Association and the Western San Bernardino County Bar Association.”

Dean McVay added:

The award has also received recognition from San Bernardino County. On September 22, 2026, the San Bernardino County Board of Supervisors adopted a resolution recognizing Justin King as the Jennifer Brooks Lawyer of the Year from the Western San Bernardino County Bar Association.

His relationship with WSBCBA is particularly longstanding. During King’s 2018-2019 presidential term, the association’s published board included attorneys from throughout the Western San Bernardino County legal community. When his term concluded, incoming President Will Wooten publicly thanked King for his work and wrote that the organization was better because of King’s dedication during his presidency.

Seven years later, King is returning to the association’s annual installation ceremony as the recipient of its Jennifer Brooks Lawyer of the Year Award.

Wow! I can't say enough good things about the Law Offices of Justin King. Attitude starts at the top, & this firm is top tier. They represented me (& yes we won!) for an injury I sustained while riding my motorcycle westbound on the 10.
